How to close SPD and LTL shipments

Complete the correct final steps for parcel SPD shipments and freight LTL shipments.

Menus and actions depend on your workspace, plan and permissions. Use the onboarding guide for current navigation. Provider setup and fees may apply; confirm the configured workflow before a transaction.

SPD

SPD means Small Parcel Delivery. Use it for parcel cartons and the carrier labels or tracking information required for those cartons. Confirm every carton is packed, labeled, weighed, and associated with the correct shipment.

LTL

LTL means Less-than-Truckload. Use it for freight that moves as pallets or another freight configuration. Confirm pallet count, carton count, dimensions, weight, freight details, pickup information, and documents.

Close the shipment

  1. Review saved quantities, carton or pallet records, destination and transport details.
  2. Resolve label and quantity errors before external submission.
  3. For partnered Amazon transport, reviewed transportation confirmation is separate from Mark Shipped. For customer-managed transport, verify Seller Central tracking/dispatch requirements.
  4. Keep labels and freight documents with the shipment. Confirm physical handoff before local completion.
  5. Reconcile inventory, documents and charges once; do not retry an uncertain external transaction blindly.
