FBA Seller onboarding

A staged checklist for your first configured workspace and real operation.

Before you begin

  • Ask the software team to confirm activation, your plan and the right workspace. Paid self-service signup and checkout are not currently available. Do not enter payment information into a supposed signup flow from this guide.
  • Have your business contact, warehouse address and time zone, product identifiers, physical counts, dimensions, weights, and a small reconciled sample ready. Use an authorized provider account where a connection is required.
  • Use your own authorized account. Menus depend on plan, role and enabled settings; missing menus require an administrator review, not another tenant login. Never share passwords or API keys in support messages.

1. Confirm your prep-only plan

  • Current pricing proposal: FBA Seller $95/month equivalent, one warehouse, three users and two total FBA/WFS accounts. Extra account $20/month, user $15/month and warehouse $150/month. These are proposals requiring agreement; there is no checkout.
  • Prep and inventory are included; D2C and B2B fulfillment are excluded. FBA/WFS prep is outside fulfillment shipment quotas. Fair-use review at 100,000 units or 2,000 prep shipments is not an automatic fee or block.

2. Confirm access and operating model

  • Confirm whether you use the seller workspace or a warehouse client portal; the guide does not create either. Client portal access requires an active client profile and assigned access.
  • Settings > Users is visible only when permitted. Ask the account administrator to give only the required access. If you are using a 3PL, agree inventory ownership, receiving and prep instructions with it.

3. Connect and prepare catalog

  • Where available, Settings > Stores manages authorized marketplace connection context. Inventory > FBA Inventory, WFS Inventory and Add Listings are current menu labels; Add Listings visibility is conditional.
  • Use the matching Amazon or Walmart account and confirm SKU, catalog identifier, condition, case quantity, dimensions and weight. The exact provider authorization screens and enabled connections require account confirmation.

4. Receive or choose the correct stock

  • For stock receiving, Inbound > PO Receiving is the verified navigation path when warehouse inventory access is enabled. Record expected and physically received quantities separately.
  • Use Inventory > Warehouse Inventory for warehouse stock when available. Use FBA Inventory for Amazon and WFS Inventory for Walmart; do not treat them as interchangeable.

5. Create the first prep request

  • FBA / WFS > FBA Prep or WFS Prep applies to stock-based work when enabled. Cross Dock > FBA Prep or WFS Prep applies to cross-dock work. Choose the route that matches inventory source and requested warehouse work.
  • Use forwarding only when units are already prepared; prep and forwarding create different work. Review quantity, destination, shipment reference and packing instructions before submission.

6. Verify cartons and completion

  • Shipments > FBA Working / FBA Packing or WFS Working / WFS Packing are current stages, subject to access. Confirm products and carton contents before printing unit or carton labels.
  • Amazon partnered transportation confirmation is separate from Mark Shipped. Customer-managed carrier tracking and dispatch may need Seller Central. Confirm physical handoff before local shipment completion; do not assume printing labels closes marketplace work.

7. Reconcile your first shipment

  • Review stock, quantities, labels, shipment status and Reports > Documents where available. Reports > Invoices and Billing > Commercial Workspace depend on permissions and enabled configuration.
  • Warehouse handling charges are separate from the WMS subscription. Ask the warehouse about physical/commercial issues and software support about incorrect application behavior.

Data quality and safe first transaction

  • Agree a stock cutover time. Reconcile the physical sample before import; keep the original export and import error report. Do not bulk-create duplicates to fix rejected rows.
  • Confirm SKU, ASIN/FNSKU or Walmart identifiers, units, case quantity, warehouse, owner/client, and current stock. Read import templates from the current app, not an old downloaded template.
  • Use one approved real sample workflow with a small known quantity. Review before provider submission, purchasing a label, generating a charge, or physical carrier handoff. These are consequential actions, not a test button.
  • After completion reconcile stock, reservation, cartons, tracking, status, documents and any charge once. If the result is uncertain, stop and ask support with a non-sensitive record reference; do not resubmit blindly.

Common problems

  • Wrong workspace or missing menu: confirm the assigned account, plan and permission with your administrator. A read-only user cannot be assumed to create records.
  • Import rejection: check identifiers, duplicate SKU, units and required template columns; fix a small sample first.
  • Provider authorization or mapping error: verify the intended account/store, client and warehouse. Do not repeatedly submit a shipment that may already exist remotely.
  • Quantity, packing or billing mismatch: compare the original record and physical goods. Printing a label does not establish shipment handoff; a local pause does not revoke provider access.
