FBA and Walmart: prep, forwarding, case pack, SPD, and LTL
Choose the correct marketplace workflow and understand what the warehouse will do next.
Menus and actions depend on your workspace, plan and permissions. Use the onboarding guide for current navigation. Provider setup and fees may apply; confirm the configured workflow before a transaction.
The short version
Prep means the warehouse changes or prepares your inventory before it is sent to the marketplace. Forwarding means the inventory is already prepared and the warehouse mainly receives, packs, labels, and sends it onward.
Choose the workflow that matches the physical work required. The wrong choice can create the wrong task list, labels, inventory reservation, or billing events.
FBA and Walmart workflows
- FBA Prep: Amazon inventory needs warehouse prep before forwarding to Amazon.
- FBA Forwarding: Amazon inventory is already prepared and only needs forwarding work.
- Walmart Prep: Walmart inventory needs warehouse prep before forwarding to Walmart.
- Walmart Forwarding: Walmart inventory is already prepared and only needs forwarding work.
Individual case pack, SPD, and LTL
- Individual case pack describes how sellable units are grouped into cartons.
- SPD means Small Parcel Delivery and is normally used for parcel cartons.
- LTL means Less-than-Truckload and is normally used for pallets or freight.
- Case pack describes the package contents; SPD or LTL describes transportation. They are related, but they are not the same choice.
